Fished the Blanchard today

I went to the Blanchard river for a couple hrs this morning. I haven't fished it yet this year so wanted to give it a shot. I got there about 10:00 and stayed til about noon. I ended up catching 3 smallies from 11'' to 16'', 2 channel cats about 18'' ea, and a couple of nice rock bass 9''.

And here's the fly that did all the damage this morning. I need to tie some more of these up. I'm down to 2 left. biggrin.gif

Nice report! That fly looks like a good one! will have to make them when I get my tying room set back up. Cant wait to get this all over with.

Thanks guys. I think that they take it for a crawdad, because the river is loaded with them in that stretch.
