I took the kayak over to the creek today for about 4 hrs. Just took the spinning rods with me today.
I put in at the bridge by the house and just floated here in town, down thru the park and back. I caught 3 smallies, one being the biggest out of the creek so far this year, but of course she flipped out of my hand while I was trying to get the camera up.  I would guess she was probably a good 16'' or better, but no picture to show. I know where she's living at now, so will try to get her again. The other 2 were about 12-13''. I only took a picture of one of them. I also caught one small rock bass, several sunfish, and 2 big ole sheephead (baaaaahh!!!).  I had 2 little dinky white crappies on too about 4'' ea, they both came off when I brought them to the top. I caught the 2 smaller smallies on a twister tail and the big one slammed a rapala. The sunfish and the rock bass came on twister tails. Those 2 sheephead took a bass plug. You can see it in their mouths in the pictures. Anybody else doing any fishing? Here's some pictures I took today. Enjoy! One of the smallies.   The little rock bass.  And last but not least. Those slimy ole sheephead.    A couple pictures of the creek where I fished today.

nice report and fish. looks like you had a good day! I was bout to head out tomorrow but the v is muddy from being blown out. will try when it clears tho cause my arm is feeling a lil better now

I am so lazy I slept on it wrong and hurt it somehow.. actually i don't know what I did? it just was hurt I didn't feel it I just had a sore neck then i woke up with a jacked up arm.. its getting better everyday tho. finally can use it again. I was strugglin last time i fished. lmfao I need to lose weight my arm prolly can't take all my weight when passed out drunk. jk lmfao!!

Sweet report Lynn. Matt, sure it wasnt from being an Amish mechanic in your dreams? JK but seriously I have the same thing and it is really bothersome and have to be careful how you sleep. One thing is will only get worse with age. I am getting back on my bike and ride to keep in shape as I think I gained 20 lb from living down here that I can start to feel it. BTW got an offer last night on the house and accepted it!! Who would of think it would sell in 7 days in this economy! Today I will sign the papers and the couple who buying it are already pre approved so it should go well. --------------------  |

Yeh, those sheephead put up a pretty decent fight. Kind of like a carp, they do a lot of bulldogging, but it seems like they wear out faster than a carp.
