OK FFD.....that is a Clouser from what I can see..... I can't catch shit on a clouser........but a Zonker, I been puttin it to them. What you callen yours, I know a clouser is a streamer but for the life of me, I can't catch shit on a clouser......but a Zonker......BAM!!!!!!!!!!
What is your presentaion for the clouser in the picture. BASS be a biatch! I use 3' of T-8 sink tip and 1' 20lbHardline and 1' .015 tippet the key to it all is the loop tie to the streamer...what do you think about this setup. If I were to vary, i'd like to know where I should adjust from your experience. Al |

Sled, It surely is not a clouser, I am not very good with them either unless fishing in the salt. The hook is a 4xl streamer hook bent about a third of the way down. I had a bunch Daiichi crayfish hooks#8 which is what I used.
Keel balanced with 2" strip of 20 lead wire, dubbing loop of ice dub over the lead wire. Then lay up the EP fibers high tied style. I have to show a demo in order to understand this process. I am not using any sink tips whatsoever, just floating line. A Intermediate line would be good but water levels were low. 5' leader with 18" 6lb Flouro Berkley Vanish. In very clear water I use a 3' 6lb test Vanish = 8' OAL(Over All Length). -------------------- |
