    also thought this was a monarch at 1st but it might be a viceroy the more I look at it. If I would of known I would of got better pix. the swallowtail pix above are way better

    Picture of a Hummingbird clear wing moth! bad ass! it resembles a ruby throated hummer and is green and red and black. we also have another species of clearwing that imitates a bumble bee and is black and yellow! wish I could of gotten better pix of it before it left! will keep my eyes open for sure! never knew we had them around here!!

    got 3 more species today not counting the hummingbird moth I just posted. the skippers are very very tiny butterflies and were kinda hard to get pix of but you just got to be patient and take your time.
    1st is a fiery skipper
    2nd is a peck's skipper
    3rd is the clouded sulphur

    I never thought of that. That be sweet! could put in all the pictures of the butterflies or even pics of the steel we catch this year. I bet they are expensive tho. Ya I guess it is a new hobby. Basically I never even cared or paid attention before but now its a challenge to me to get more and more species. time is starting to run out tho because fall is coming already! was so damn hot this year I wasted my summer away in the house!
